Open House and Touch a Truck in the City of Tonawanda

Open House and Touch a Truck in the City of Tonawanda

Sadly the 2023 Open House was cancelled by the Mayor's Office. Hopefully we can have this wonderful, free, family fun event next year.

Last year, Chris was honored to bring an Open House and Touch a Truck to The City of Tonawanda.

Wanting to bring this family friendly event to our city, Chris asked local organizations and businesses to sit a long side the City's Department trucks. Kids got to go on a touch the Fire Trucks with Bucket, DPW Trucks, and Police Vehicles to name a few.

Chris asked the Erie County Sheriffs to be apart of this event as well and was happy to have not only the Sheriffs horse, but also the Sheriffs boat.

It was a fun event for both kids and adults a like.

Sadly this years Open House was cancelled by the Mayor's office. Hopefully we can have this wonderful, family fun event next year.

Chris' Time in Public Service

While serving in the Army during 9/11, I was intrigued with New York City and the NYPD. After serving in the Army, I went to New York and took the test to become one of New York’s Finest. I got to see things most people only dream about. When the opportunity arose to return to Western New York and continue to be a police officer, I was honored to be able to do something I love and return home. Because of the differences in the pension systems, I was able to file for early retirement with the NYPD before accepting a job as a police officer with the State University Police. I am thankful for my time as a SUNY police officer because I was able to complete a bachelor’s degree and start a master’s degree program with SUNY assistance. After completing my studies, I went on to become a criminal investigator and then senior criminal investigator with the Health Department. My work leads me to partner with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. I still work as a police officer pa

Chris' Visions and Ideas for the 2nd Ward and The City of Tonawanda

VISIONS FOR OUR COMMUNITY Keep taxes from continually increasing every year. Adjust the parking regulations so the overnight parking ban does not take effect on October 1st or last until March 31st when the weather is projected to be warm enough to allow for on-street parking.  Ensuring forgotten sidewalks that need repair are fixed or replaced adequately.  As a member of the city's primary legislative body, the Council; Chris will represent the interests of all the residents citywide by using feedback metrics. Creating a real-time information system allowing for the rapid deployment of essential information to the residents of our great city.  Chris wants to work with the Mayor and all members of the council for the betterment of the City of Tonawanda, putting residents first.  Being available to all residents, in all wards, to promote and foster ideas that benefit us as a community. Listen to ideas that can help benefit each person living in this city, from children to retir

The New Representative of the 2nd Ward!

Today, I was honored to be sworn in as the new representative of the City of Tonawanda – 2nd Ward. Thank you to New York State Senator Tim Kennedy for performing the Oath of Office for me. I feel honored that Assembly Majority Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes, former Assemblymember Robin Schimminger, newly elected Buffalo Common Councilmember Leah Halton-Pope, North Tonawanda Mayor Austin Tylec, and many other elected officials (past and present) came to join us.
