The home reassessment project was unfair and subjective. One of the reasons I am running is to fix this. Homeowners deserve to be properly assessed. Also, we need to stop the constant tax increases and stop “rubber stamping” the budgets that call for tax increases.

Chris has officially announced that he is running for 2nd Ward Council in The City of Tonawanda ~ Announcement from Chris I'm excited to announce that I am running for 2nd Ward Council in The City of Tonawanda as an Independent Democrat. As a resident of the City of Tonawanda for over a decade, I take pride in this city. I am an active member of this community and I am responsible for some great new city programs. Reminder… Today, May 8, is the day that you can start making an appointment for the Board of Assessment (BAR) review. GAR response letters are due to anyone that filed an informal review request no later than May 10, 2023. The City Assessor’s Office is accepting appointments to challenge your home assessment starting May 8, 2023. Call 716-695-8638 on that Monday to schedule an appointment with the Board. They will assign a time in the afternoon or evening. You will need to complete a NYS RP-524 form prior to your appointment. They are available on line or at the Assessor’s Office. Just a suggestion, but having pictures printed out of your home and comparable home sales for houses that are similar style, square footage, and bedrooms will help the challenge be more accurate than what is in the assessment. Also, a copy of the last survey if challenging square footage or lot size.
