60th Senate District Veteran of the Month, August 2019

Christopher was honored to receive the 60th Senate District Veteran of the Month August 2019 for his service to community.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes


Chris was the first Uniformed Police Officer in Western New York to put on the symbolic red high-heeled shoes and walk in the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence. Chris walked for four years and served on the planning committee on his final year. Each year, Chris recruited more officers to join in on this dedicated cause advocating for survivors.

This Particular Year, Chris Suffered a Herniated Disc from a Non Job Related Injury Weeks Prior to the Walk. Chris Pushed Through and was Determined to Finish, Switching to Flip Flips Mid Walk. 


Gay Pride Parade in Buffalo, NY

Chris was honored to March in Buffalo's Gay Pride Parade for several years supporting equal right for all.



UB Veterans Steering Committee

Chris volunteered and was an advocate for Veterans returning to college. Chris served on the UB Veterans Steering Committee and was honored when asked to be the Veteran's Day Guest Speaker at The University at Buffalo, speaking out for all Veterans.


UB Military Hero of the Game, 2017

Chris was given the UB Military Hero of the Game in 2017.



Old First Ward Parade in South Buffalo

Chris and his family march every year in the annual Old First Ward Parade in South Buffalo, honoring and remembering his wife's family and ancestors.

Military Service Awards


Chris during his time in the service, was awarded... 

The National Defense Service Medal
The Army Service Ribbon
The Two Army Achievement Medals. The Army Achievement Medal is awarded for outstanding achievement during military service. 

Chris was an M1 Tanker assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division, out of Fort Benning, Georgia during his military career. 

NYPD Awards


Chris was awarded six commendations from the NYPD for Excellent Police Duty. These awards were given for intelligent acts materially contributing to a valuable accomplishment.
