Councilmember Christopher Fisher City of Tonawanda 2nd Ward

  On June 12, 2026, Governor Kathy Hochul presented the City of Tonawanda with the funds needed to fully fund the Kohler Pool renovation! This is in addition to the funding provided by Congressman Tim Kennedy.  Amanda Shepler continuously petitioned for the needed funding. The significance of the $6 million provided by Governor Hochul is that the City does not need to provide matching funds... this is a true 100% funded rebuild of Kohler Pool.  Gov. Hochul is presented with a hand drawn picture as a thank you for saving Kohler Pool!  

  Congressman Tim Kennedy announced $850,000 in federal funding to repair needed infrastructure at Kohler Pool. The council worked with residents to apply for funding, lobby, and draw attention to the dire need to repair Kohler Pool.
